Hello, welcome to this month's status update post. Here I will be sharing what's been going on with AnimeThemes.moe, where we are heading, how to help, and inviting feedback.

Our operational expenses increased by ~$20 and our rolling balance decreased by ~$40.
Our cushion at our current level of funding covers the deficit for another 12 months before we run out of funds.

With the holidays over, development is picking up again, though we have had some difficulties with hardware failure on personal machines. We have begun addressing underlying issues to support our auth scaffolding and playlist efforts.
Additionally, we have some volunteers that have begun on future efforts.
We still anticipate another month for completion.
This month, smaller items related to branching strategies and QoL of administrative workflows were addressed. The full set of changes can be reviewed here.

This month was mostly spent on further drafting the auth experience for the website, alongside on-boarding new developers. While these weren't any new releases this month, you can expect beta releases coming up more frequently in the coming weeks.

As of 2023-01-18, Kyrch is now a member of the AnimeThemes moderation team. Kyrch has been very proactive during onboarding in relation to the legwork for seasonal checking, encoding, verification and data backfilling. Thanks for all of your work up until now, and welcome to the team!
Mod applications are still open. We have continued to onboard applicants. Now more than ever with our efforts widening and less of our team being active, we need some help delegating tasks out. Please consider joining the team!
The backup torrent was updated 2023-01-01. The links can be found in the discord and in the one place you should be able to find. The next update will be on 2023-04-01. Seeding is appreciated.
