This guide is mainly used for song and artist names. They are based on Romanization and Title Formatting from AniList.
General Rules
- Katakana must be converted to its corresponding language translation, commonly English.
- (「」) must be converted to (" "). Ex: "Oshi no Ko".
- Special symbols must remain.
- Names already romanized must remain as credited, keeping the upper and lower case letters as they are.
- Macrons are not used.
- Particles are not capitalized.
- Full-width punctuation should be converted to half-width. Ex: "。" to ".", "?" to "?".
- Honorific prefixes must be written as part of the noun. Ex: "お茶" to "Ocha", "ご飯" to "Gohan".
- Suffixes and honorific suffixes must be written as part of the noun with the use of a dash. Ex: "-kun", "-san", "-sama", "-chan", "-tachi".
- "部" (club names) should be "-bu". Ex: "潟女DIY部!!" to "Gatajo DIY-bu!!"
- If no particles are present between a noun and a verb, they must be written as two separate words.
